God put on my heart this Christmas the thought of Jesus being fully man and fully God. No one can truly wrap his mind around the thought, as much as one can wrap his mind around the thought of eternity, infinity or forever. Christmas dramas depicting Jesus' birth rarely stop there, but go on to account for His full life. The concept that Jesus grew in wisdom and strength. He must have also grown in the knowledge of how He was to fulfill prophecy. While He was ready and willing to lay down His life, He still prayed in the garden of Gethsemane until He sweated blood. He prayed to be spared of the agony of His death. I can't wrap my mind around it, then, of course, I have the mind of Christ, but I'm not God. I have God in me, but only a smidgen of what God thinks. God's ways are so high above our ways. How He made it happen, only He knows. I can only be thankful that Jesus conquered His own death, method of death and the wages of death for all mankind. He died to give us hope that just as He rose, we too, can overcome the greatest adversity. Praise God! We have overcome for He has overcome the world!
